Article l – Qualification for Membership
a. Must own a modified car or truck [or replica thereof] of a model year to be on or before 1972, intended and built for street use.
b. Must be at least 18 years of age.
c. Must attend a least [1] one club function and upon payment of club dues, before being considered for membership. (Amended - 02-09-09)
d. Afterwards any current member may make a motion that a new member be allowed to join the club. The current membership will vote by a show of hands
and majority rules will apply.
Article ll – Membership
a. Once a member is voted in, their spouse, [should they have one] will become a member with equal voting rights in the club.
Article lll – Election of Officers
a. Nominations for incoming officers shall be submitted in October each year.
b. The following positions will be open for nomination: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Event Coordinator – elections will commence in November.
c. Elected Officers shall serve a period of one year starting January 1 and ending December 31.
d. The treasurer shall maintain a record of all money transactions, collect all dues, and disperse monies as approved by the membership with a two-signature requirement for all checks written. All records must be submitted for audit review prior to leaving office. All records reviewed each year by officers and audited every two years by an outside auditor.
e. The President is responsible for conducting orderly meetings when held and oversee all records pertaining to club functions. In the absence of the President, the Vice President will assume the acting role of President. In the absence of the President and Vice President, the Secretary will assume the acting role of President.
f. For a member to be elected in any position, they are required to have been a member for no less than one year from the time they are voted in.
Article lV – Impeachment of Members
a. Any action pertaining to this article requires the attention of all elected officers.
b. Any concerns in this area shall be brought first in confidence to the attention of the President. If the President deems the matter worthy, then his/her discretion, the full staff of Officers will convene to determine what course of action, if any to pursuer.
c. Shall the action call for impeachment of a member or members, the member[s] in question will be notified in writing of the findings with the signature of all the officers required. Should the member[s] being impeached feel that the impeachment is unwarranted, they may respond in writing within two weeks to the President and he will convene the Officers to discuss further action. Upon the second meeting of Officers, the unanimous decision regarding the disposition of the impeached member[s] will be final.
Article V – Dues
a. Club dues shall be $50.00 per year, per individual or couple.
b. Dues are non-refundable unless the member[s] become impeached and only on a prorated basis.
c. Dues are required by a new member at the next meeting they attend after being voted in.
d. Dues are required to be paid by all members, no later than the first meeting in February.
e. Failure to pay dues in a timely manner may result in expulsion unless the elected Officers approve extenuating circumstances.
Article Vl – Rules of Conduct
a. Members are encouraged to operate their Street-Rods within the guidelines of established laws to as not to defame the club in any way.
b. Un-necessary language or conduct will not be tolerated and may be grounds for impeachment.
c. No excessive use of alcohol or inappropriate behavior will be permitted at club functions held in public.
d. Club members are expected to assist if possible when seeing the other Street-Rodders in need.
e. The club will expend $100 for bereavement, when a club member
passes away. (Amended - 05/15/07)
f. Two Officers have the discretionary authority to spend up to $150.00
as necessary for the club. (Amended – 02-11-08)
